The World from the Maple Leaf Train, Part 2
Here is another painting from my Maple Leaf train journey! Check out my previous version, too.
As someone who always enjoys water bodies, I loved watching the scenery go by from the train. I was eagerly waiting for the river views to start. I saw many beautiful banks pass by, but I missed the chance to capture them at first. Finally, I set my camera to burst mode and caught this lovely scene, the fallen branches, a bare tree decorated with a few dry leaves, and the scattering of dry leaves along the path. The water was beautiful, filled with tiny floating primroses (they were so small, I donโt think they were water lilies!) along the banks of the Hudson River Valley, surrounded by lovely foliage.
In the painting, I slightly changed the position of the trees and extended the water area to improve the compositional curves. I also added a path that leads the eye toward the wet ground. I hope you enjoy this piece!
